Chadron varsity girls' basketball has had a good season with a 17- 3 record and currently holding the wild card spot to go to state basketball in Lincoln.
Coach Mclain said, "We enter the post season coming off of a big win vs. Sidney on senior night. It's tough to beat a good team once, let alone 3 times, so the girls have a lot to be proud of for defeating Sidney again. Our regular season concluded with a record of 17-3, but we must now realize that we are 0-0, just like every team and what has happened in the past means nothing. It's time to move forward, play with a sense of urgency, and play each game like it's our last," McLain said.
McLain said he is excited for the sub districts and with the right attitude the girls should pull out the wins they need to go to state.
The girls played Gordon Rushiville on Tuesday and pulled out a win taking them to the next round of sub districts. They will play Mitchell on Thursday for another round of sub districts.
